Chef Al-Khateeb presents his irresistible Arabic cuisine at Restaurant Beytna. In Beytna we are going to celebrate (24-25 september) a very special event by chef Al-Khateeb. With a menu full of irresistible dishes, the great Jordanian chef presents his cuisine to us.
Faraj Al Khateeb is one of the most important chefs in Jordan. Its exceptional cuisine is a fusion of Arabic dishes with international nuances. Thus, his professional career has led him to travel to many countries.
As he himself collects in his professional career, he began as an apprentice in the kitchens of different Mexican restaurants in Jordan. There he fell in love with his profession: «seeing the excitement of the guests when tasting the food prepared by me, was my passion», says the chef.
Moving from one kitchen to another brought him deep knowledge and experience, which led him to the kitchens of the Intercontinental Hotels Group in Jordan. He was chosen to work in more than one five-star hotel and participated in various courses related to food preparation and presentation. During this time, he won several awards in culinary competitions in that country and abroad. With the support of his colleagues and his leadership skills, he becomes Jordan’s youngest executive chef at the age of 35.
His gastronomic career also grew when he moved to work in the Arab countries of the Gulf – specifically to Saudi Arabia – for almost 3 years. In addition, the hotel group assigned him to travel to Lebanon, Indonesia, the United Kingdom, the United States, Italy, Egypt, Palestine and the United Arab Emirates, increasing his experience in the food industry.
During his career, Chef Al Khateeb has participated in several television shows specializing in food preparation and presentation. In 2017, he is appointed as the official referee for culinary competitions in Jordan.
“Cooking is one of the arts, the art that needs the artist to be honest and full of loyalty so that the presented art is complete (food safety – taste – presentation – olfactory) and then you will see the smile on the guest’s face and that it’s what we strive for, ”says the chef.
